Are you looking for a training experience that’s consistent, community-driven, and built to help you grow on your own terms?
The Crew is our flagship 5-month training program, designed for dancers who want to deepen their skills, build confidence, and train in a space that values both structure and self-direction. Sessions run once a week for 2 hours, with two training cycles per year: September–January and February–June. You can join for one session, or commit to the full year at a discounted rate.
What to Expect
Each session follows a consistent format: full-body warm up and conditioning, creative movement or freestyle exploration, targeted skill-building exercises, and choreography based on the unit we’re working through. Units include choreography retention & execution, musicality, textures & dynamics, and grooving—offering a comprehensive approach to growth.
At the end of each session, we wrap up with a filmed project—sometimes solo, sometimes in groups—as a creative push and a way to commemorate your work. This crew doesn’t perform publicly as part of the program, but optional opportunities may come up throughout the year. Performing is never mandatory, and opportunities are never guaranteed—but you’ll be considered when they arise
You’ll train with the same cohort for the full session, giving you time to build genuine community and collaborative trust. It’s a space where you’re encouraged to take risks, explore new territory, and hold yourself accountable to your own growth. How far you go is up to you—we just give you the tools, the structure, and the crew to make it possible.

FAQs
-
This program is for dancers with previous experience who are ready to deepen their training in a consistent, community-focused environment. If you’re looking to grow your skills in commercial movement, explore creative expression, and push yourself at your own pace while being supported by others doing the same—that’s what we’re here for.
-
You don’t need to be “at a certain level” to join, but this program is taught at an intermediate pace. That means you’ll need experience picking up choreography at a medium speed, the ability to start stacking skills onto movement, and some comfort being in class environments. Beyond that, we’re looking for dancers who are self-driven, willing to show up for themselves, and open to being part of a values-based space—not just those with the most technical training.
-
Nope! There is no audition. We take a holistic approach to applications and base acceptance on your dance experience, your goals, and the general energy and values you bring to the space. Skill level alone isn’t what determines fit.
You apply by filling out a registration form, then we’ll set up a short meeting with the program director to make sure it feels like a good match for both of us. Applications open twice a year—before the September and February sessions.
We also hold a free info session before the program starts, where you can trial a class, meet the crew, and ask questions. It’s not an audition—it’s for you to get a real feel for what the program is like.
-
Not at all. Freestyle is a core part of this program, but we don’t expect you to come in already knowing how to do it. We approach freestyle as creative exploration—through prompts, task-based exercises, and guided movement play.
We know the idea of freestyling can bring up nerves or anxiety. If it’s new to you (or something you’ve avoided), this is a space to explore it with structure, support, and options. We hold your hand through the process and offer lots of different ways to engage—so you can challenge yourself without feeling thrown in the deep end.
-
No stress. We have a relaxed attendance policy because flexibility is part of accessibility. Life happens. As long as you let us know when you’ll be absent, there’s no issue—no explanation needed.
There’s no homework or expectation to catch up. Choreography doesn’t carry over from week to week (except when working on the final project), so missing a class won’t put you behind. You’re always welcome back, exactly where you left off.
-
That’s completely valid. This program is a commitment, but it’s designed to support you through it—not overwhelm you. The work is challenging, but the pace is yours to choose, and the environment is built to help you feel safe taking risks. If you’re feeling nervous, that might actually be a sign you’re ready to grow—and we’re here to meet you where you’re at.
